We are thrilled to welcome two outstanding healthcare professionals to our community! Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Dr. Lorene Stanger, our new optometrist, and Dr. Gordon Stanger, our new dentist. This dynamic duo is now seeing patients and ready to serve the Rocky Boy community.
Meet Dr. Lorene Stanger: Dr. Lorene was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i. She graduated from the University of Hawai’i - Manoa and has extensive experience as a licensed optician and optical lab manager on O’ahu. Dr. Lorene earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. She has served as the Director of Optometry for the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians and was the first full-time optometrist and Division Head at Lana’i Community Health Center in Hawai’i. Dr. Lorene loves traveling and scuba diving but enjoys even more spending time at home with her husband and their puppy, Teddy.
Meet Dr. Gordon Stanger: Dr. Gordon grew up on army bases around the world, but home is wherever his wife of 20+ years, Dr. Lorene, is. He has lived in Hawai’i for over 25 years and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Hawai’i Pacific University while also attending the University of Hawai’i. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, School of Dentistry, and has volunteered on medical and dental missions both in the US and overseas. Dr. Gordon is excited to join our Dental Clinic and continue his service in public health, contributing to our community.
