Parents, you know what that means–school is almost back in session.This could bring a lot of changes for your child, like new friends, teachers, and classrooms. These changes might make them feel anxious about returning to school, and that’s perfectly normal! Here are some simple ways you can help your child ease back into school-mode:
- Create a daily routine and help your family stick to it
- Establish healthy habits–eat nutritious meals, set a sleep routine, and exercise together
- Talk about safety–at home, at school, and around adults and peers
- Communicate; let your child know they can come to you with anything
- Be there; show support during their struggles and their accomplishments
Going back to school doesn’t have to be scary! In fact, it can be one of the most exciting times for your child. Help your child prepare for the new year ahead of them
